Cathy Portanova serves as Office Manager at Legacy Financial Advisors, Inc., bringing more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. She began her career in financial services in 1991 and joined Paul Mauro as his personal assistant in 1993.
A 1989 graduate of Norton High School, Cathy continued her education at the Katharine Gibbs School, where she studied administration. Throughout her career, she has been selected to serve on numerous administrative councils within the financial services industry, contributing her experience and insight to initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency and enhancing the client experience.
Cathy resides in Norton, Massachusetts, and is the proud mother of two children, Thomas and Caitlyn. Outside of the office, she is an avid sports fan and has spent many years coaching her daughter’s softball teams. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family, as well as relaxing by the pool during the summer—with a little help from her dad, Lenny, who proudly keeps it maintained.
Giving back is also an important part of Cathy’s life. Since 2011, she has participated in annual fundraising walks benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Through “Cathy’s Crew,” she and her supporters have raised an impressive $50,665 to support the fight against multiple sclerosis.
